Beam Me Up Lily.....

A recent package brought me this lovely birthday gift from oldest daughter that she knitted herself! Just looking at it transports me here .........

To wild and beautiful, heathery gray and drizzly Ireland, with its wonderful misty light. [quitchyerbellyachin' Blister!] After the first thousand days, unrelenting sunshine loses its allure. This bag takes me to a place fit for human habitation. Thanks Lily, for the bag and the trip.

How lovely - I thought it was a carving in stone at first glance.

However did she achieve the whole lovely Celtic cross-ness of it in double knitting ?
It's beautiful !
P.S. Don't spend a second feeling nostalgic about drizzle .... we've had m-o-n-t-h-s of it . Very wearing !

Ah, you should come to Scotland. Another sunny day! That makes, oh, I think five this week. Or to put in another way, five this summer.

Beautiful bag! too nice to use.

(Sympathy about the organ recital. With my mum, it's mainly her bowels, though there's also her dodgy heart. Personally I think that a heart that's lasted 89 years can't be too bad...)

what a talented family you are! Any bag I made would have looked just like that ruin!

That's a lovely present from a thoughtful daughter. I must say after a particularly grey, wet, miserable winter in Melbourne, I am pining for a bit of sunshine!

Wow -- it's beautiful Molly! It sounds like you need a trip to the Mother Land! (And can I please go with you? We'll take a side trip to see Isabelle. ;-) )

Just caught up on your last five posts. I am a bit behind but what is unusual about that. Sisters are blessings aren't they? Love your observations and I dont think they are mean - entertaining comes to mind. And as for the bag - glorious!
