Except that for me the longing doesn't come after a few days, it's a daily need. I get restless when I don't have a bit of time to myself, usually playing with my photos or blogging.

And again, I love the way you tell stories.Nathalie H.D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16806509041466785588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31711654.post-84119625978624186612016-04-27T12:04:07.658-04:002016-04-27T12:04:07.658-04:00Now I will have to dash to the library! I know what you mean about loving it all but loving the return to yourself at the end of it all :)Paulinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14555472024981357622noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31711654.post-73260969456961784242016-04-10T04:48:54.693-04:002016-04-10T04:48:54.693-04:00Lovely house ! On the other hand ...

Jojo Moyes books are definitely unputdownable . Whole chunks must be absorbed in one go ... preferably with scones .
SmitoniusAndSonatahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11210817141287881808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31711654.post-90503228819978969712016-04-09T22:33:40.785-04:002016-04-09T22:33:40.785-04:00I'm in the Splendid Sampler gang too, a bit sl...I'm in the Splendid Sampler gang too, a bit slow, I must confess. Then I look in the mirror, and at the TBR pile on the night table, and reality sets in. When you think how many times the writer reread each page before he was satisfied it seems like a totally inadequate effort to read it only once. I guess watching a movie is a way to revisit the world you inhabited while you were first reading the story. I have seen the trailer for the movie that's been made from "You Before Me" --- looking forward to seeing it this summer, but often times the movie is a let down and doesn't measure up to the story a reader has created from the book in his head.

EC --- My first "chapter" books were a set of three from an aunt for my birthday --What Katy Did, What Katy Did Next and What Katy Did At School. I love it when Ms. Molly recommends a good book, but my reading time is so limited these days -- time in the sewing room seems to win -- mostly because if I sit down with a book I really do get lost in another world -- with my eyes closed haha. But! I'm getting all set for retirement some day -- I'll have piles of fabric and stacks of books to keep me happy into the next century! Love that cute little house. I've seen cute little quilts with just house blocks!Thimbleannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03650582809426872051noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31711654.post-62527032716998936952016-04-06T01:37:32.727-04:002016-04-06T01:37:32.727-04:00Should be locked away in the Should Cupboard and s...Should be locked away in the Should Cupboard and should only come out once in a while!

A very enjoyable post. I cry often over many things...books, movies, TV shows, happy and sad moments, items on the daily news...I was a mess when I read "Bridges of Madison County" and "The Notebook" years ago. I had to keep putting the books down...to re-gather my senses, emotions. It was the same with the movies made of the two movies. I cry every time I watch them...silly me!

I watched "Roman Holiday" for the millionth time over Easter...and yes, I cried at the ending of it, too...I always do. One thing for certain is...I never let myself down..I'm consistent! :)Leehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15835982875620956300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31711654.post-67206014952376089942016-04-06T00:14:39.241-04:002016-04-06T00:14:39.241-04:00Another truly lovely post.

Books I reread, and start to cry pages before the precipitating event.
And yay for bliss.
