Okay boys and girls, I'll make this brief.
I can't stay today, but I have a reading assignment for you.
Toddle on over to Silfert. I'll be checking to make sure you completed the assignment. The sky fell in on me earlier this week [temporarily] and I've been feeling kind of glum, but after reading "Dogfights and Swordplay," I have a stitch in my side from laughing and the gloom has lifted.
This will get you out of the rut you might be in if you haven't ventured out of your comfort zone [reading the same old blogs]lately. Leave her a comment. No, I'm not her agent. I'm doing this as a public service.....
Don't let me down....
I'll be snooping and taking names!

Very good Thimbleanna! A+
Wiping tears from my eyes - we had a sword in our house as children- it was the parade sword from an illustrious civil war general and we bandied it about with great indiscretion. I see I need another, even though I don't have a paper route.
Persi and Pauline--go to the top of the class girls! Wasn't that a click well spent?
the sun is about to rise in a sky that should be gloriously pink and orange and blue ... it is cold, but not bitterly so ... i am NOT feeling glum ... and so i am going to save this for later in the day when the pollution has hit its peak and the world smells like a rendering plant ... no sense in wasting a good laugh ... or two
I WANT a sword...NOW!? Too funny. : D Thanks and enjoy your Friday!
"There will be questions at the end" ?
That was very cheering ....and makes me wonder about maybe carrying one of husband's Congolese spears on the back of my bike .
Isn't that the funniest post ever? Love it!!
You are a very good class! S&S---I think if you carry a spear on the back of your bike you'll get excellent, and very prompt, service wherever you go!
I am so glad you sent me there! I read dogfight and swordplay while taking a break from grading. Wow, I enjoyed the smiles! :)
Yes ma'am!
On my way to go read and get out of my reading rut.
Thank you!
