It started in kindergarten with pens and ink pots and blotting paper. Since then I've loved writing. Transferring the noise in my head to paper calms the chaos. If a worthwhile thought occasionally emerges, I'll keep it here with memories, stories and other random trivia, of interest mainly to myself and, with a bit of luck, to the odd passerby.
It's a flowering tree, Ali, called Royal Poinciana or Flame tree. According to Google, it is native to Madgascar. We saw it first in Sarasota, and my budding botanist fell head over heels in love. This one is his baby and sits on the front porch.
Very pretty. Tell your butterfly not to come to Scotland, though, where we've had a deluge for the last two days, though I do believe I see a faint yellowish brightness in the sky this morning...

It's very pretty! Funny thing to remember but I used to live on a street called Poinciana but never knew what one looks like. :)

Flutterbys like sun don't they?
No flutterbys here then.
Too beautiful for words.
Flutter by here Rise, and I'll give you all the sun you can handle!
Nicely captured!
